This sterling silver enamel lapel badge has got us beaten. Internet searches have drawn a blank, so we are at a loss to describe this badge accurately. Somebody will know what this badge represents, but we do not. The winged animal at the top of the shield is almost certainly the Welsh dragon. The roman numerals XXV could be for a rugby club.
Measuring around 25 mm by 10 mm the badge weighs in at 3.8 gram. There is a full British hallmark from the Birmingham assay office with the assay mark for sterling silver, the date letter for 1961 and the maker mark M.T.C..
