Made during the beginning of World War II, these glove stretchers can still be used but are an item for the discerning collector.
S 375 Silver Glove Stretchers – Birmingham 1940
These lovely glove stretchers have silver fingers and handles.
Both fingers have a pattern formed into them on both side to cleverly disguise the fulcrum pin.
Both silver handles are in good condition and there is a light pattern to both handles. The hinge is sprung with the spring in working order.
There is a full British hallmark from the Birmingham assay office with the assay mark for sterling silver and the date letter for 1940.
Measuring around 180 mm overall length, the glove stretchers weigh in at 64 gram.
